Sad News

Many of you will be shocked and saddened to hear that our lovely sewing sister Heather Hardy passed away today after suffering a heart attack on Friday.

It is hard to believe that we won’t see Heather’s smiling face again. She had eyes that lit up with laughter. She was a great friend to Apatchy Quilting and had been here from the beginning.  As well she was a friend to many at Apatchy and was very generous with her knowledge. A master embroiderer among other things she was passionate about her craft – we used to tease her that her stitching was done by laser – it was so even.

She was very kind to Mum and I know many others will miss Heather, especially her very good friend Jane, who we send our love and sympathy. As well we send our deepest condolences to her family. Her post-retirement life revolved around her family and she shared lots of stories about her grandchildren and I am sure they will remember all the wonderful times they had with her. We will certainly remember the times we had with her.

And we shall miss her very much.
